I Want My Michael Jackson Tickets!!

August 7, 2001

Well if you don't know, Michael Jackson is doing a show at Madison Square Garden with his brothers and other stars for his 30th anniversary in the business. Now my sister been checking about tickets online for awhile now and found nothing, but last week she checked and found something. Now what sucks about that is the cheapest tickets were $350! The show is a week before my birthday and my sister is not paying $700 on a birthday present for me. They had $45 tickets but were sold out. Those tickets were floor seats too. That is kind of weird. Now yesterday when I was watching "Purple Rain" on TV, my sister comes home and tells me that the cheapest tickets now are $1500!! This is an outrage, I'm not going to miss this concert, but I don't have all this money for tickets. People I need money! I might have to write a letter to Epic Records and give a piece of my mind. These tickets are outrageous! Who would pay for this? I'm a die hard fan and I'm not paying for this (well it's kind of the fact because I don't have the money). I think I might have to sell a few organs to afford tickets to the show. I remember reading in one of my Michael Jackson books that a little girl was saving up her pennies to be able to get tickets for one of the shows on the Victory Tour and could afford it because it was so expensive. She wrote a letter to Michael saying how selfish he was for making the tickets so much money. Now when he got the letter he was hurt and lowered the ticket prices. Now I'm going to do that when I make that letter to Epic Records, hopefully they will lower ticket prices.  I never got to go to any of his shows and I need to go to this one. Well at least his new album, Invisible, comes out on September 25 so I'm getting new music from him. Of course I reserved the album sometime in July. I hope this album doesn't get lost in the public's eye like the last album, Blood On The Dancer Floor: History In The Mix (which I'm listening to right now). I hope the radio and MTV give it the fair air play it deserves. Well till September 7, I'll be finding away to get money for the tickets.
